Job Description

The role of a Country Leader is a senior executive position responsible for overseeing and managing the operations, growth, and overall performance of a company within a specific country or region.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and articulate a clear strategic vision and direction for the company's operations within the country.
  2. Operations Management:
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
  3. Financial Performance:
    • Drive financial success by setting and achieving revenue targets, managing budgets, and optimizing profitability.
  4. Market Expansion:
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, growth, and market share capture within the country.
  5. Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  6. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
  7. Business Development:
    • Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  8. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, manage risks, and implement effective governance practices.
  9. Customer Satisfaction:
    • Prioritize customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  10. Brand Representation:
    • Act as the primary representative of the company in the country, upholding and promoting the brand image and values.
  11. Performance Metrics:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of business operations within the country.
  12. Reporting:
    • Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership on the country's performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Management, or a related field. MBA is often preferred.
  • Extensive experience in executive leadership roles, preferably as a Country Manager or Country Leader.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local business environment, market trends, and cultural dynamics.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and growing business operations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving business objectives.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and build strong networks.
  • Leadership qualities with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
