Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

Post-secondary education in Information Systems (IS)

Technical/user knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office 365, Network Printing, File Access, and Client/Server applications

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Trained to operate the AWP (sky lift), must be comfortable working in heights

Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Solid Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Ability to uphold confidentiality

Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements

 

Job Responsibilities:

Administers user accounts

Maintains file and folder security

Diagnoses and trouble-shoots desktop software, hardware, or network connectivity problems at an entry level

Takes technical direction from senior staff

Handles the evaluation, procurement, installation and provides ongoing support of PCs, printers and peripherals

Evaluates and installs software, and trouble-shoots hardware problems

Writes technical documentation and manuals, and assists with end user training

Maintains hardware inventory control, asset tagging and software licensing.

Assists new computer users with Windows basic training on programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, network file storage, etc.

Performs MAC (Move/Adds/Changes) on telephone system

Enforces Sarbanes Oxley IT Standards\Best Practices

Maintain helpdesk metrics (Key Performance Indicators [KPIs])

Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e., IATF16949, ISO14001)

Understands, promote and live by Magna’s philosophies and Employee Charter

Adheres to Modatek’s core values; integrity, respect, trust, honesty, fairness and loyalty

Follows Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.

Performs all duties in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Modatek Systems Environmental Policy

Worker Health and Safety Responsibilities:

Maintains safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of Modatek Systems

Performs all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments

 

Duties of Workers:

28. (1) A worker shall,

(a) work in compliance with the provisions of this Act and the regulations;

(b) use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that the worker’s employer requires to be used or worn;

(c) report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themself or another worker; and

(d) report to their employer or supervisor any contravention of this Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he or she knows.

Work and Physical Environment:

Office and manufacturing environment, but may be exposed to elements such as temperature and noise and sitting for extended periods of time

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components

Works rotating shifts or static shifts dependent on business requirements

On-call availability and occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines

Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position

Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as servers, computers and peripherals.

Able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings

Some travel may be required for the purpose of off-site installations and configuration

Required to wear all personal protective equipment for job/area

May be exposed to climbing and heights
