Student Software Developer Fall Co-op (Tech Start-up/Social Health) Job Description:

We are looking for a student currently enrolled in a STEM program to take part in a winter co-op/internship here at Goodself - a health/tech social media platform. The role would focus primarily on mobile app development using React Native, and various research responsibilities.

Responsibilities would include:

• A student currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution.
• Reviewing and understanding business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and programming accordingly.
• Utilizing various system utilities, networking, and verification tools to diagnose and enhance system performance.
• Ensuring all code is written, tested, and integrated with the rest of the project codebase and version control system.
• Helping with troubleshooting operational data issues.
• Researching industry trends and best practices and recommending which approaches will benefit the company.
• Suggesting enhancements to software where applicable.
• Participating in technical design discussions, demos, and daily stand-ups.

Preference to candidates who are:

• Currently enrolled in a computer science or computer engineering program.
• Experienced with React Native mobile application development.
• Have project experience in developing software in a team environment and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with multiple development languages is an asset.
• Experience developing websites/mobile applications is an asset.

Proven ability to multi-task and work towards meeting pre-defined timelines, delivering quality work
