Job Description
Senior Manager, Deal Desk - INTL (International) is a strategic and leadership role responsible for overseeing the deal management process for international business transactions within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Structuring:
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure and optimize deals for international clients, considering regional nuances, compliance, and business objectives.
- Pricing and Discounting:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies and discounting policies for international deals, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Risk Assessment:
- Evaluate the financial, legal, and compliance aspects of international deals, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Cross-Border Collaboration:
- Work closely with international sales teams, legal, finance, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach in managing international deals.
- Deal Review Meetings:
- Conduct deal review meetings to analyze proposed international deals, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Approval Workflow:
- Define and manage the approval workflow for international deals, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of deal terms, pricing, and approvals for international transactions.
- Currency and Regulatory Considerations:
- Navigate and address currency exchange considerations and international regulatory requirements impacting deal structures.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the deal desk function for international deals, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Training and Enablement:
- Provide training and guidance to sales teams on deal desk processes for international transactions, ensuring a clear understanding of compliance and best practices.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish key metrics to measure the effectiveness of the deal desk function for international deals and generate regular reports for senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in deal desk management, sales operations, or a related role with a focus on international transactions.
- In-depth understanding of international business, including legal, regulatory, and cultural considerations.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, especially those based internationally.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in international deal management.
- Proficiency in deal desk tools and CRM software.
