Job Description
Alliances Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and managing partnerships and alliances between an organization and external entities.
Responsibilities:
- Partnership Strategy:
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive strategy for building and managing alliances that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Partner Identification:
- Identify potential partners, evaluate their compatibility with the organization, and assess the mutual benefits of forming alliances.
- Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners, acting as the primary point of contact and fostering collaboration.
- Negotiation and Contracting:
- Lead negotiations and contractual discussions with potential partners, ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and aligned with organizational interests.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and legal, to ensure effective coordination and execution of alliance initiatives.
- Joint Business Planning:
- Work with partners to develop joint business plans that outline shared objectives, strategies, and measurable outcomes.
- Performance Metrics:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of alliance initiatives, regularly reporting to executive leadership.
- Communication and Promotion:
- Develop and implement communication and promotional strategies to raise awareness of alliance activities both internally and externally.
- Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise in the course of alliance activities, ensuring a positive and collaborative partnership.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor alliances, and industry dynamics to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in alliance management, business development, or a related role.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and managing strategic partnerships.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align alliance strategies with broader business objectives.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
