Job Description
Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer is a seasoned professional responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture:
- Design and architect cloud solutions based on business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Implementation:
- Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud infrastructure, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Collaboration with Development Teams:
- Collaborate closely with software development teams to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
- Automation:
- Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud solutions, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Capacity Planning:
- Conduct capacity planning to ensure that cloud resources are provisioned to meet current and future workload requirements.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and best practices.
- Problem Resolution:
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues related to cloud solutions, providing expertise in troubleshooting and resolution.
- Mentorship:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the engineering team, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of security principles in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
